Dave Hinze and Bruce Venter are proud to announce their newly created partnership dedicated to offering uniquely designed American history tours for enthusiasts who wish to explore those historic roads less traveled.
Under the banner of Stars and Stripes Events, LLC, we intend to present history tours you may not find with other tour providers. We will incorporate American history topics from the colonial period, the Revolutionary War, the early national period, the Civil War and the Indian Wars of the latter 19th century.
Eventually we intend to present a symposia dealing with the American Revolution and a World War II conference in appropriate settings. So if you’ve toured Gettysburg, Antietam or Shiloh more than once, here’s an opportunity to learn about places and personalities that are greatly interesting but more uncommon than those you’ll see offered by other tour companies.
Why should you invest your discretionary travel dollars in a new venture like Stars and Stripes history tours? That’s an excellent question and we think we have the answer, in fact, several good answers.
- Dave Hinze and Bruce Venter are tested field historians who have years of experience in designing and presenting excellent American history tours which always include a surprise or two such as obtaining access to private land or a house that is not readily open to the general public.
- We will also be tapping the abilities and presentation skills of other noted historians who will be joining Stars and Stripes in an effort to showcase historic sites that fall beyond the normal venues.
- We will design cost conscious tours that will maximize your travel dollars when it comes to hotel and meal expenses. Of course our events will be competitively priced.
- We will incorporate a rigorous evaluation process as part of our tour component. We seriously want to hear what you liked about our component. We seriously want to hear what you liked about our tours and where you thought we could do better. As former educators, Dave and Bruce believe in using a “continuous improvement” process to present the very best American history tours currently offered in today’s travel market.
- We intend to use you, our clients, as a sounding board for future tour offerings. We want to know what you’d like to see and where you’d like to go when it comes to the great legacy our American history has to offer.
Of course, Mary Hinze and Lynne Venter are very much a part of this new venture and you will be seeing them on many of our tours.
Over the years, we have met many wonderful people while doing our history tours and conferences. We hope this loyal base of tour customers will continue to enjoy the high caliber tours we seek to present through Stars and Stripes.
