Procedures and Policies:
How do I book a tour?
Our registration procedure is simple: To book a Stars and Stripes history tour or event a deposit of $75 will hold your space. Final payment is due 30 days prior to the tour/event date. Deposits and payments can be made with a personal check, money order or credit card. We accept MASTER CARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS and VISA.
What if I need to cancel?
Our cancellation policy is simple too: If you cancel your registration 30 days or more prior to the tour/event, your deposit will be refunded. If you must cancel, for any reason, less than 30 days prior to the tour/event, all deposits and payments will be refunded, except for a $50 per person administrative fee. No administrative fee will be charged, if you choose to apply your payment to a future tour/event. No-shows and cancellations within one (1) day of the tour/event are non-refundable.
What happens if Stars & Stripes Events LLC needs to cancel a program?
Stars & Stripes Events LLC wants to complete every tour we plan to present. If for any reason Stars & Stripes Events LLC cancels a tour you will receive your money back in full within seven business days. Stars & Stripes Events LLC is responsible for notifying the clients if the tour will be cancelled or postponed. We advise all out clients not to make airline reservations more than eight weeks prior to the event, unless they check with Stars & Stripes Events LLC, to prevent loss of the flight booking fees.
Tour Basics
- Tours go rain or shine
- Only animals providing assistance to patients w/ a disability are permitted on the tours.
- Tours depart on time and do not wait for anyone to board.
- Itineraries are subject to changes.
- Smoking not permitted on buses.
- Call 1-888-399-7874 to determine the accessibility of specific tours for people with limited mobility to make advanced accommodations if necessary.
- If you need any special dietary restrictions should call 1-888-399-7874 beforehand to arrange accommodation.
- Seats behind the driver & the first seat on the right front will be reserved for historians/guides. Additional seats near front of the bus can be saved for those with special needs.
Definition of use, terms & agreement:
Meals
Meals to be provided on the tour are stipulated in the tour literature. Meals vary by trip so please ask questions if you are unsure. Soft drinks or tea is included at lunch and dinner. Alcoholic beverages are not included. You can purchase alcoholic drinks separately if you like. Free bottled water, and sometimes soft drinks and snacks, are provided during the tour. Stars & Stripes Events LLC will try to honor special meal requests (including vegetarian) but are not guaranteed.
Rooms
Hotel rooms on many Stars & Stripes Events are the responsibility of the attendee. The specific situation for each event can be found on the material pertinent to each tour or conference. When Stars & Stripes Events LLC is responsible for providing the rooms the rates listed are based on double occupancy. Single rooms will be more expensive. See the tour literature for the rates on a specific trip. Changes in type of room due to cancellation by a roommate (a double changed to a single, a triple to a double, etc.) will result in the higher tour price for the remaining client(s).
Transportation
Transportation varies depending on the size of the group and the type of tour. Some areas cannot accommodate a large bus. No smoking on motorcoaches or vans. Seats are rotated daily on trips over two days in length.
Travelers Needing Special Assistance
Persons needing individual assistance for walking, dining, or other personal needs must be accompanied by an able companion and must notify Stars & Stripes Events LLC in writing at the time of booking. Certain trips and features are not wheelchair accessible. If you require a wheelchair, you must provide your own small collapsible wheelchair. Many times our group goes well off the regular stops to investigate historic locations and cannot guarantee wheelchair accessibility.
Luggage
Due to space limitations, only one normal sized piece of luggage, weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, may be brought per person. In addition, one small handbag and/or small flight bag may be personally carried. Stars & Stripes Events LLC is not responsible for loss or damage to your belongings and strongly recommends not traveling with expensive jewelry or other valuables.
Gratuities
Stars & Stripes Events LLC includes all tips to local guides, restaurant waiters and hotel porters. Tips to bus driver are not included.
Not Included
Stars & Stripes Events LLC is not responsible for the costs incurred for the client to get to the starting destination for the event, nor is Stars & Stripes Events LLC responsible for your return trip. Prices do not include air travel, country entry or departure fees, airport porter fees, visas, phones, valet, all items of a personal nature and beverages and food not on the regular menu. Tour price does not include general fees and taxes which are additional and listed separately beneath each tour’s price.
Passports and Visa Requirements
Travel to Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico requires a U.S. passport valid for 6 months after date of entry. Non U.S. citizens, please check passport and visa requirements. Sometimes a tour includes entering a U. S. Government facility you may need a valid U. S. driver’s license or ID to enter the facility with the tour.

Management and Responsibilities
The responsibility of Stars & Stripes Events LLC is strictly limited; tour participant agrees that maximum liquidated damages shall not exceed the tour price. Stars & Stripes Events LLC is responsible only in the capacity for making arrangements for the tour services offered, including hotels, sightseeing, transportation (whether by motorcoach, boat, train, airplane or any other means), guides, porterage, and meals from various suppliers (collectively “Suppliers”). The itineraries shown are subject to revisions, including substitution of hotels, activities and routings. If a service is not provided, and Stars & Stripes Events LLC is unable to substitute a service of similar value, Stars & Stripes Events LLC liability shall not exceed the actual cost of the services not provided. Stars & Stripes Events LLC does not own or operate any of these Suppliers. The Suppliers are not agents, servants, employees or joint ventures of Stars & Stripes Events LLC, but are Independent Contractors providing travel services to Stars & Stripes Events LLC. Stars & Stripes Events LLC is not liable for any damage, including personal injury, accident, personal loss or other expense, from any cause, act or omission by Suppliers or third parties. Tour participant agrees that by utilizing the travel services of Suppliers, that tour participant will look to Suppliers for any damages of any kind. Stars & Stripes Events LLC is not responsible for any purchases made during the tour. Stars & Stripes Events LLC is not responsible for the costs of any medical treatment required during your tour, nor is responsible for Stars & Stripes Events LLC the quality, or lack thereof, of medical care you may receive while on your tour. Stars & Stripes Events LLC. and/or its agents are not responsible for any damage, expense or inconvenience caused by late departures, change of schedule, strikes or other conditions. Stars & Stripes Events LLC is not liable for any wrongful, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions of any travel agent or travel agency. Legal proceedings by or against Stars & Stripes Events LLC may be instituted only in a state or federal court within the State of Missouri, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be decided in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri. Stars & Stripes Events LLC reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a tour at any time before or during the actual operation of the tour. Stars & Stripes Events LLC reserves the right to cancel any tour at any time. In computer or human billing error, Stars & Stripes Events LLC reserves the right to re-invoice with correct billing. Site Usage Agreement
Stars & Stripes Events LLC, maintains Starsandstripesevfents.com (the Site) and all of the information, data, software, photographs, logos, graphs, videos, typefaces, graphics, music, sounds, images, illustrations, designs, icons, and other materials (collectively “Content”) for your information on vacations sold by Stars & Stripes Events LLC. None of the Content shall be construed as an offer for the sale of any services, goods, or products of Stars & Stripes Events LLC or any other entity. All Content in this Site is for informational purposes only. By using this Site, you agree to these terms.
Use of Site
You may use or download Content displayed on this Site for non-commercial personal use. You may also use or download Content for promotion of Stars & Stripes Events LLC products.
